I have to admit that, for me, Trump winning a second term is too awful to contemplate. However, a global pandemia was also too awful too contemplate, and then we had (have) coronavirus. So maybe it’s better to take courage and face your deepest fears before they come at you in full strength.

Do you think that Trump can actually win? I am sceptic about this eventuality, but I was sceptic about his first election too, so I guess I don’t count so much.

    Hi Robert,

this is a good question. Even though I wanna believe that Biden and Harris ticket will win in the landslide, I am still being very skeptical. Trumps rhetoric woke deep white supremacy, racism, homophobia, islamophobia, and other “phobias” within extremely conservative American society. In conversation with my friends and colleagues, a significant majority of white people, 50+, with low level of education are supporting Trump. He has a good chance to win again if he succeed in voter suppression.

Hillary Clinton said during Democratic National Convention 2020 that you “can win by 3 million votes, but still lose the election”. That means that Biden should win by enormous margin to be completely sure they will be able to put Trump out of the White House. However, it all depends on the voters turnout. Biden is leading in polls, but I do not believe polls anymore, especially not after 2016 election.

For now, I will just stay objective and little bit skeptical so I do not find myself surprised or shocked once we see election results in November.
